Morris “Dutch’’ Burk, age 69 years, well known Greencastle business man, died suddenly Thursday afternoon at 4:30 o’clock at his home at 104 Martinsville street. Death which was due to heart disease followed a very brief illness. He had been confined to his home since Monday. Mr. Burk was employed at the American Zinc Products Company as a master mechanic for 20 years, retiring from that position last September. He operated the O. K. Hatchery for the past six years and was widely known because of his business connections. Mr. Burks was born in Putnam county. He died on his 69th birthday and had he lived until April 16th, he and his wife would have been married 50 years. Mr. Burk was a member of the Maple Heights Methodist church and the Ben Hur organization. Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Effie Burk; one son Claude Burk, Akron, Ohio; and a brother, William E. Burk of this city. Funeral services for the well known resident will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the MeCurry Funeral Home. The Rev. Cecil Fellers, will officiate. Interment will be made in Forest Hill cemetery. Friends may call at the family residence on Martinsville street.
