BURK, Frank - Putnam

The death of Frank Burk occurred on Thursday evening at 7 o'clock. For several days his death has been expected by his family and family as it was conceded that he was fatally ill.  His death was caused by spinal

meningitis. Mr. Burk was 23 years old and a son of John Burk, the well known hotel keeper of East Washington Street. Frank had been up in Wisconsin employed in a furniture and hardware store and returned home but recently, too ill to work. He leaves a widow and one child. The funeral occurred on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Locust Street Church, Rev. Farr conducting the exercises.   --- kbz
