BUNTEN, William H. - Putnam

A former Marion Twp native and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. William H. Bunten and her mother were killed in a traffic accident near Los Angeles, California on Wednesday. Killed were William H. Bunten, 48 US Navy Retired, Mrs. Bunten and Mrs. Butler, mother of Mrs. Bunten. William H. Bunten was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Bunten and was born and raised in Putnam County, Indiana. He had served 28 years in the Navy. Survivors are his mother, Mrs. Alpha Bunten, a sister Mrs. Ayler Nelson both of Greencastle, 3 brothers, Donald Bunten of Cloverdale, Marion of Reelsville and Fred of Coatsville. Burial was in Golden Gate Naval Cemetery, San Francisco.
