“Belle Union” news – Deaths: Mrs. Riley Buis, Dec 31, 1889 p8   ~~~Transcribed and Typed by kbz

Note: On findagrave, she is listed as having been born in Wayne County, KY 16 April 1816 and as her very short obit says died 31 Dec 1889 Putnam County.  Her husband was Riley Buis 1808-1818 – they were married in 1832 (Children: Elisha, Lear and Marcus).  Did notice that on the notes on FAGrave, it says wife of Riley.  In 1887 she was living with her son Preston on the old homestead and was the “oldest living native of Putnam County. – pretty tricky if born in Wayne County KY – note there is NO Preston anywhere but wonder if Elisha’s middle name is that ??
