BRUGGE, August W. - Putnam

Terre Haute – August W. Brugge, 68, formerly of Crawfordsville, died Tuesday in Union Hospital here. Mr. Brugge worked for the B & O Railroad in Indiana for 40 years. Born in Crawfordsville Feb. 6, 1903, he was a son of August J. and Mary Brugge. He was married to Helen Walls of Roachdale in 1921. Survivors include five sons, John Melton of Mesa, Ariz., Carl August of Howell, Mich., George William of Crawfordsville, Robert Eugene of Clinton and James Edward of Fountainette, and four sisters, Marie Steele of Chicago, Margaret Rose of Crawfordsville, Leona Steel of Linnsburg and Anna Zurface of Indianapolis. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at the Thompson Funeral Home here. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday.   -– jlr
