Judge Frederick T. Brown died at his residence
in Floyd Township on March 9 of a complication of diseases after being sick for
several months. Deceased had been a resident of this county for about 30 years,
having moved here from Spencer, Ind. His age was 66 years. He leaves a wife and
six children: William, Mrs. Jessie Talbott, Mrs. Meacham, Horace, Edwin and
Frederick to mourn his loss. The deceased was widely known and greatly
respected in this and adjoining counties; he served as Judge of the Court here
and was afterwards one of the prominent practicing attorneys of the circuit. On
account of failing health he moved to the country some years ago and since that
time had devoted his attention to farming.

The remains of Judge FT Brown were brought
form the late home of the deceased, in Floyd Township on Saturday and deposited
in the vault at Forest Hill Cemetery. The funeral took place on Thursday
afternoon at 2:30 o’clock. – kbz
