BROWN, Francis - Putnam

Francis Brown, father of Judge Brown of this city, fell dead in his dooryard at his residence six miles north of Spencer Friday. The cause of his death was heart disease. He was 80 years old and was hale and heartly up to the time of his death.  Judge Brown was unable to attend the funeral because of his own ill health. Mr. Brown was widely and favorable known in Owen and adjoining counties and it is understood left a considerable estate. – kbz
