BROTHERS, Amanda Harris - Putnam

Mrs. Amanda Brothers, 80, resident of Roachdale, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Thomas Ashby (Effie) here Tuesday evening. She was born at Fincastle, December 23, 1856, the daughter of Burdine and Elizabeth E. Dyer Harris. On December 30, 1880, she married George Brothers, he died November 23, 1932. She is survived by the daughter, five sisters; Mrs. Emma Keating, of North Salem, Mrs. Laura Hendren of near here, Mrs. Clay Waters, of North Salem, Mrs. Lola O'Rear of near here and Mrs. Margaret Nelson, of Mt. Carmel, Illinois, and one brother; Charles F. Harris of Roachdale. funeral services were held Thursday afternoon with burial in Roachdale cemetery.
