Mrs. Pearl Broadwater, 48 of 429 E Fifth St, Newport, died late Friday at her home after a lingering illness. Mrs. Broadwater had been a resident of Newport most of her life. She was a member of the Parent-Teachers’ Association of Newport HS. She leaves her husband, Roy Broadwater; a daughter, Evelyn Rose Broadwater; six brothers, William Snider, Idaho; Columbus Ellsworth, Robert and Henry Snider, Indiana and Leslie Snider, Colorado and a sister, Mrs. Flora Snider of Indiana. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the home with Rev. DM Funk, pastor of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Newport officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. William C. Betz Sons, Newport undertakers, are in charge of the funeral.
