Feb 24 - (AP) - Six men from MacDilll Field were killed when the medium bomber they were flying crashed into the Gulf of Mexico near Venice Fla., last night, the MacDill public relations office announced today. The plane was on a routine training flight. The dead included Sgt. Lawrence Broach of North Salem, Ind. Sgt. Lawrence E. Broach of North Salem, who was killed Tuesday night in a bomber crash in Florida was the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Broach of North Salem. Also surviving are one brother, in service with the army medical corps at Camp Grant, Ill., and two sisters. He enlisted two years ago, after attending school at North Salem. The parents formerly lived on south Mills street in this city.

Sgt. Lawrence E. Broach of the Army Air Corps, a former resident of Crawfordsville, who was killed in a bomber crash off the Florida coast Feb. 23, will be buried Friday afternoon at the Masonic cemetery here. Services will be held at the family home in North Salem earlier in the afternoon with the body to be brought here immediately following the rites. A military service will mark the burial and will be conducted by the American Legion. Recovered from the Gulf of Mexico a few days ago. The body arrived in North Salem on March 17. While a resident of Crawfordsville, Sgt. Broach lived on Mills street. Surviving are the parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Broach of North Salem, who were notified of their son's death by the war department. Acting upon the belief that the body was recovered immediately following the crash, the family previously had made arrangements to have the burial in Crawfordsville on February 28.
