H. A. Britton Passes Away at Roachdale Last Rites Tuesday for Well Known North Putnam Man Harvey Albert Britton, 74, died Sunday at 11 a.m. at the home of a cousin, Carl Britton, in Roachdale. He had been in failing health for two and a half years. Born near Roachdale on July 16, 1880, he was the son of J. W. and Mildred Akers Britton. On Sept. 11, 1902, he married Ethel Coffman. He was a member of the Roachdale Presbyterian church. Prior to that he had been a member of the Roachdale Methodist church of which he was a Sunday school teacher and superintendent for over 40 years. Survivors include the widow, a daughter, Mrs. Mary Day, a son-in-law, Rev. Wilbur Day of Anderson, a brother, Clay, of Indianapolis, and two grandchildren, Don and Alice Day. He was preceded in death by one son Cecil Frank. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. CDT, at the Roachdale Presbyterian church with Dr. Frank Travis officiating.
