Mrs. Laura Emily Bridges, 71, succumbed to pneumonia Saturday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ruth Dodd. She was born September 22, 1864 near Fincastle, the daughter of John A. and Sarah P. Goslin Turner. She was married to William B. Bridges November 11, 1884. She was a member of the Fincastle Christian church. Surviving are three daughters; Mrs. Maude Brothers of Fincastle, Mrs. Clyde Eads and Mrs. Ruth Dodds of Roachdale. Two sisters; Mrs. John Couchman, Mrs. Clay Brothers, three Brothers Frank Turner, Col. Fred Turner and Edgar Turner also survive. Mrs. Laura Emily BRIDGES 71 died Feb 8 at her home in Roachdale. She was born Sept 22, 1864 near Fincastle the daughter of John A. and Sarah P. Turner. She was married Nov 11, 1884 to William Bridges. Survivors are 3 daughters, Mrs. Maude Brothers, Mrs. Clyde Eads and Mrs. Ruth Dodd all of near Roachdale, a sister Mrs. Clay Brothers of Greencastle also survives.
