John BRIDGES, a former resident of Crawfordsville died at the Indiana State Soldiers Home in Lafayette Friday. Mr. Bridges was a soldier in the Civil War. He leaves a widow who has been residing with him at the soldiers home, 3 daughters, Mrs. Mike Kline, Mrs. Harry Sargent and Mrs. Ed Lee, one son John Bridges and one grandchild all of whom reside in Indianapolis, 3 sisters, Mrs. Strong (sic - should be Lucy Straughn) of Waveland, Mrs. Robert Strong (Straughn) of Russellville and Mrs. John Williams of Terre Haute, 3 brothers, Robert, Will and Charles of Fincastle, one brother, Willard preceded him in death just 17 years from the day he died. Burial in the local Cemetery at Russellville.
