Minnie Boswell - Putnam

Roachdale – Mrs. Minnie Ethel Boswell, 86, the mother of Lafayette resident, Marguerite Sarjent, died Monday in Tendercare Nursing Home is Danville.  She had been in failing health several years.  She was born June 27, 1899, in Putnam County and lived in Roachdale for many years.  Her marriage was June 15, 1915 in Greencastle to Artie Boswell.  He died in 1968.  Mrs. Boswell was a member of Carpentersville United Methodist Church. Surviving besides the daughter, Marguerite, are four other daughters, Pauline Morrison of Ladoga, Mary Roe of San Jose, Calif; Helen A. Pickel of Roachdale and Annabelle Jones of Yorba Linda, Calif; two sons, Charles Henry Boswell of Noblesville and Robert Otho Boswell of Indianapolis; a foster daughter, Ruth Majors of Crawfordsville; and one brother, Harry of Indianapolis.  – kbz
