Arthur M. Brattain, 92, former resident of Clinton Township in Putnam County, died late Thursday in Greencastle Nursing Home. He was a retired farmer and operated a general store many years at Born Aug. 3, 1883, in Parke County, he was a son of Eli and Amanda Lewis Brattain. He was married to Minnie J. Martin in 1908. They observed their 67th anniversary on June 18 this year.

Also surviving are two sons, Marion of Roachdale and William Herbert of Indianapolis; a daughter, Mrs. Claude Newgent of Florida; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Hopkins Funeral Home at Greencastle with burial in Clinton Falls Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.  ---waw
