Services for Joseph Lee Boswell of 424 Carpenter who died at 4 a.m. yesterday at his home will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at National Funeral Home. Burial will be in National Cemetery. He was 68. Born in Greencastle, Indiana Boswell had lived in Memphis since 1925. He was employed by EWG Meers Construction Co until his retirement three years ago. He was a member of McLemore Avenue Presbyterian Church and was a Mason. He also was a member of Carpenters Union Local 345. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Beulah B. Boswell; two daughters, Mrs. Paul Butler of 300 South Parkway East and Mrs. Shirley Strother of Flatwoods, Ky; a stepson, George Wells of East St. Louis, Ill; two brothers, Herbert Boswell and Omer Boswell of Greencastle; a sister, Mrs. Oma Alspaugh of Tulsa, Okla; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. – kbz
