Ladoga – Amy C. Boner, 89, formerly of Ladoga, died Tuesday in Community Hospital at Indianapolis.
Mrs. Boner had taught school at Ladoga Elementary for a short time before becoming a secretary for the Ladoga Canning Co. for 15 years. When she moved to Indianapolis she became an accountant for several large firms, retiring in 1971.
She was a member of the Ladoga OES, Women’s Department Club of Indianapolis, Indianapolis Travel Study Club, Alpha Delta Omega Sorority, the First Meridian Heights Presbyterian Church at Indianapolis and Daughters of Pioneers. She attended Ladoga Normal School.
She was born March 20, 1891, at Roachdale.
She is survived by two nieces, Mrs. Byron (Edith) Swank at Crawfordsville, and Mrs. Donald (Louise) Rogers of Indianapolis.
Services are at 11 a.m. Friday in Flanner & Buchanan Broad Ripple Mortuary at Indianapolis. Burial will be in Ladoga Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday. smc
