BLAYDES, Mary Barnard - Putnam

Mary Elizabeth, youngest child of Calvin and Catherine Barnard was born in Jackson Township, Putnam Co. February 9, 1854, and she died May 16, 1934. She was 80 years, 3months and 7 days old. She married James T. Blaydes, August 17, 1871 and with the exception of a short time spent in Tennessee and Texas, their 63 years together have lived in the neighborhood of Barnard. The husband age 86 survives and four of their six children; two sons Ben and Frank, two daughters, Mrs. Lucretia Smythe and Mrs. Bessie Wright. Daughters, Nannie died March 1894 and Campbell died in infancy. Six grandchildren; Tressie Richardson, Brewer Blaydes, Mrs. Juanita Hanna, Wyonna Blaydes, Mrs. Mabel Young and James Hamilton Wright.    --- thanks so much to Mailyn W for these Roachdale Times newspapers - kbz
