A special from Anderson, Ind dated Sept 17, says that Capt. William H. Blankenship, formerly of this city a veteran of 4 1/12 years service in Co B, 21st Regiment, First Heavy Artillery, died yesterday and was taken today to Gosport, his old home for burial. – kbz
