BLAINE, Walker

Source: Greencastle Banner 23 Jan 1890 p 3

The death of Walker Blaine is a particularly severe blow to his father to whom he was more than a son having been his almost constant companion for the last 10 years.  It will be remembered he visited this city with his father in the campaign of 1884.  The younger Blaines were not generally considered as approaching their distinguished parents in ability; yet Walker is said to have been a great student of literature in addition to accomplishments as a politician and man of public affairs.  He is said to have been very much like his father in tastes, which formed one of the unusual tied of companionship. ~~~Transcribed and Typed by kbz
