BLACK, Miller - Putnam

Died –In Monroe Twp at Havey Allisons, Jan 24 of old age, Miller Black, aged 73 years 2 months 14 days after an illness of 3 weeks. Miller Black was born in 1800 (9 Nov)  in Montgomery County, Kentucky where at the age of 30 years, he was married to Margaret Whitsitt, whose death it will be remembered preceded him four years.  In 1852 he and his family came to Putnam County where he remained a peaceable, unobtrusive citizen up to his death. For the last 6 years he resided in Greencastle.  He was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. The funeral, which took place last Monday was attended by a large number of relatives and friends, Dr. Fisk conducting the services.
