In Memoriam – whereas, in the providence of God our beloved and worthy brother, John Billman has been suddenly removed from our midst. Resolved, that while we bow in humble submission to the will of “Him who doeth all things well,” we deeply deplore the loss of our brother and will cherish his memory and endeavor to imitate his virtues. Resolved, that in the death of brother Billman this Lodge has lost a worthy member and a good Odd Fellow, his family a kind and affectionate husband and father and the community an upright and honorable citizen. Resolved, that we tender our heartfelt sympathy to the stricken widow and orphans of the deceased. Resolved, that as a token of respect for our departed brother lodge room be draped in mourning and that the members wear the usual badge of mourning on all public occasions for 30 days. Resolved, that these resolutions be spread upon the journal of the lodge, a copy thereof presented to the widow and that they be published in each of the county papers.
