BICKNELL, Sarah - Putnam

The death of Mrs. Sarah J. Bicknell, a former resident of this city occurred  at the Soldiers’ Home at Lafayette Thursday night.  The body was brought to this city on the Monon arriving here at 2:30 o’clock this afternoon.  It was taken to the former home of Mrs. Bicknell at the corner of Jackson and Liberty Streets.  Mrs. Bicknell had been an inmate of the Soldiers’ Home for about two years.  The funeral of Mrs. Sarah Bickness, widow of Jacob Bicknell will occur at College Avenue Church Sunday Feb 4 at 1:30 o’clock conducted by the Rev. Robbins.  Mrs. Bicknell’s death was caused by paralysis at 9 o’clock Thursday at Lafayette where she had made her home for about two years.   ---transcribed by kbz
