BEST, James Oliver - Putnam

Brazil, Ind Nov 17 – James Oliver Best, Sr,  75-year-old retired railroader, died Mondy at the home of a son in Washington Township, Putnam County. Surviving are six sons: William E. Best, James Oliver Best, Jr. and Claude Leon Best of RR 1, Reelsville; Franklin Leroy Best of Indianapolis, Simpson P. Best of Reelsville and Norman C. Best of RR 1, Greencastle; two brothers, Thomas Best of RR 2, Greencastle and Claude Best of Terre Haute;  8 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 1:30 o’clock Wednesday afternoon at Miller & Son’s Funeral Home. The Rev. Dallas Rissler, pastor of First Baptist Church of Greencastle will officiate and burial will be in Boone-Hutcheson cemetery.
