BECKETT, Grace - Putnam

Word was received in this city late Monday afternoon of the death of Miss Grace Beckett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. MJ Beckett of Los Angeles, Cal, former residents of this city. Miss Beckett has been ill for six years with tuberculosis. Deceased was born in Greencastle, Ind, July 15, 1889 and when she was 10 years of age, with her parents, she came to this city to make her home. Miss Beckett attended the public schools of this city and graduated from the high school in the year 1907. The Beckett family moved west two years ago in the hopes of benefitting her health. Mr. Beckett was a former member of the firm of AB Morse Co. Besides her parents, deceased is survived by one sister, Miss Harriett Beckett, who teaches violin and piano at Washington PA. Mrs. WB Church of this city is an aunt of the deceased. The funeral was held Tuesday in Los Angeles where burial took place. WB Church spent Tuesday in Chicago with Miss Harriet Becket, who is enroute home.
