BECK Clarence

Clarence E. Beck, the brother of Marie Oliver of Morgantown, died Wednesday May 29, 199 at Medco Health Center in Danville. A resident of Bainbridge, he was 83. He was born Sept 22, 1907 in Putnam County to Fred W. and Ola Trump Beck. On Christmas Eve 1927, he married Josephine Walter and she survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Phyllis Sutherlin of Brazil and Marjorie Terrell of Mooresville; two sons, Gene and Gerald Beck, both of Bainbridge; a brother, Raymond Beck of Bainbridge; 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. A son, a sister and a granddaughter preceded him in death. Mr. Beck was a lifetime farmer retiring in 1985. He was a lifetime member of the American Polled Hereford Association and Indiana Polled Hereford Association. He served on the Floyd Township (Morgan County) Advisory Board many years. He was a member of the Bainbridge Methodist Church and was a former member of the Bainbridge Masonic Lodge 75. The Rev. Joseph Eubank conducted a service Saturday morning at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home in Greencastle. Burial was in Bainbridge Cemetery. – kbz
