Brazil, Ind – Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Lawson-Slack Funeral Home for Clarence R. Baysinger, Sr, 85, retired owner-operator of Baysinger Machine Shop who died Thursday at Canterbury Convalescent Center. Baysinger was a native of Putnam County and moved to Brazil in 1913. He opened his first machine shop in 1932. A past president of Brazil Kiwanis Club, he served on the Brazil City Council for 9 years. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Brazil, Odd Fellows, Masonic Lodge No 264 and Scottish Rite, Valley of Terre Haute. Surviving are a son, Clarence, Jr. president, Arketex Ceramic Corp and two granddaughters, Mrs. Janetta Elaine Rissler, Harmony and Miss Linda Kay Baysinger, at home. – kbz
