BATMAN, Woodson - Putnam

Woodson T. Batman, 79, died at his home here early Wednesday. He had been ill over a period of four years and death was caused by a complication of diseases. Mr. Batman was born near here February 20, 1860, a son of Elijah and Lydia Gillen Batman. He was a member of the Christian church at Baninbridge. He was married to Julia Papp who died in November, 1929. In 1931 he married Mrs. Lucky Davis, who survives. Other survivors are a half brother Otis of near here and a niece, Mrs. Mable Harshbarger of Philadelphia, Pa. funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Chastain funeral home with Rev. T. J. Wilson, pastor of the Christian church, in charge. Burial will be made in Roachdale cemetery.
