BATMAN, Luck Thompson - Putnam

Batman, Luck Mrs. 76 years old, final rites were held at the Chastain Funeral Home, Tuesday. Internment in the Roachdale Cemetery.  Mrs. Batman, who had been in failing health for a year, died in Roachdale at the home of her niece, Mrs. Leo Fowler. Born in Fincastle on 1 August 1868, the daughter of Benjamin and Mary Ann Hensley Thompson. She had spent most of her life in the Roachdale vicinity. She lived in Indianapolis for 15 years.  Her husband Woodson Batman, preceded her in death and a son Lyle Davis Batman died in infancy.  Surviving in addition to Mrs. Fowler, are the following nieces and nephews; Ernest Thompson of Roachdale, Mrs. Owen Rose, Mrs. Elda Webb and Kenneth Thompson all of Columbus, Ohio, and Verna Thompson of LaCrosse, Wisconsin.
