BATH, Leo - Putnam

Word has been received here of the death of Leo Bath, 35 at the home of his parents in Bloomington, Ill last Wednesday. Bath, who recently resigned as organist at the Granada Theatre was in the county hospital here on January 4-5 after taking an overdose of barbital, a nerve sedative. It was not learned whether Bath’s death was due to the after effects of this drug or caused by some other source.  Bath, it is said, made threats that he would take his own life and it may be that he made good his attempt to commit suicide.  -kbz
