BASSETT - (Dr) CC - Putnam

Goodland, Ind April 11 – Dr. CC Bassett, 59 prominent Goodland physician died at his home today. He was born at Greencastle to the Rev. and Mrs.TJ Bassett and attended DePauw University graduating in 1898.  He studied medicine at Wisconsin Physicians and Surgeons University in Milwaukee and came to Goodland following his graduation, remaining in active practice until illness forced his retirement a year ago. During the World War he served as a Lt. and since the war has been active in the American Legion and officers’ reserve corps. Surviving are the widow, a son Eugene Bassett of Decatur, Ill and a daughter, Mrs. Emil K. Schmidt of Los Angeles, Cal. - kz
