BARNES, Margaret Weddle - Putnam

Mrs. Margaret Ann Barnes, a former resident of Roachdale, died Thursday evening February 6, at her home in Indianapolis. Mrs. Barnes would have been 86 of age had she lived one more day. She was born February 7, 1850 in Evansville, Vanderburg Co., Indiana. She was the daughter of Andrew and Barbara Weddle. She was married in 1868 to Grandison Barnes who preceded her in death several years ago. Six daughters; Miss. Lillian Barnes, Mrs. Gurtha Young, Mrs. Ora Mitchell, Mrs. Mabel Harrison, and Mrs. Ethel Henry of Terre Haute; two sons; I.H. Barnes, of Greenfield and W.C. Barnes of Indianapolis survived. Her brothers; Isaac F. Weddle and Joseph Cline Weddle preceded her in death. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at Roachdale Christian church, with burial at Roachdale. - thanks so much to Marilyn W for these wonderful RT obituaries :)
