WAYNETOWN -- Tilla Mae Ballard, 85, of Rt. 1, Waynetown, died Friday evening in Culver Hospital where she had been a patient since Thursday.
Mrs. Ballard had lived in Waynetown 28 years, spending the last 14 years with her son, Ancil. She was a member or the Russellville Christian Church for 71 years.
Born Feb. 28, 1886, in Putnam County, she was a daughter of' Francis and Martha Grimes Clodfelter. She married Claude A. Ballard Aug. 27, 1908, in Russellville.
Survivors include two sons, Ancil of Rt. 1, Waynetown, and Vergil of Crawfordsville; a daughter, Mrs. Lester Murdock of Rt. 2, Waynetown, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by her husband, a daughter, Frances, two brothers and three sisters.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Servies-Thomas Funeral Home here with Rev. Donald Selman officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
