Rites Are Held at Waynetown
WAYNETOWN-Funeral services for Claude A. Ballard were held on Wednesday afternoon from the Christian Church with the Rev. James F. Pfouts officiating. "Be Thou Near", "Sometime We'll Understand", and "God Will Take Care of You" were sung by, Mrs. Clayton Kenyon and Mrs. Chester Hendricks with Mrs. M. B. Snyder at the piano.
Pallbearers were Otis Clodfelter, Dale Harbison, Reese Wyatt, Robert Wyatt, Cyril Johnson and Clayton Johnson. Flowers were carried by Hazel Clodfelter, Fern Wyatt, Mildred Nicholas, Irene Hamblin, Lettie Todd, Martha Ballard, Maude Suitors, Nellie Claycomb, Wanelia Lipscomb and Nellie Sandford.
Burial was in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.

Claude A. Ballard, Waynetown, Dies
WAYNETOWN-Claude A. Ballard, 66, a farmer most of his life, died at 9 p.m. Sunday at his home, three miles south of Waynetown. He had been an invalid several years and seriously ill three weeks. Death was attributed to a heart condition.
Born June, 3, 1886, in Boone County, Mr. Ballard was the son of John and Alice Cheshire Ballard. He married Tillie Clodfelter of Russellville Aug. 27, 1908. He was a member of the Russellville Christian Church.
Surviving are the widow; two sons, Vergil Ballard, Crawfordsville, and Ancil Ballard, at home;
a daughter, Mrs. Lester Murdock, of near Waynetown; six grandchildren; a brother, Raymond Ballard, Lebanon, and a sister, Mrs. Bessie Ottinger, Frankfort.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Frances, who was killed in an automobile accident, four miles northwest of Waynetown, Sept. 7, 1935.
Funeral service's will be held at 1:30 p. m. Wednesday a t the Waynetown Christian Church with burial at the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Rev James Pfouts will be the officiating minister. Friends may call at the family home.
