BALAY, John E. - Putnam

John Estel Balay, age 77 years passed away Thursday in an Indianapolis Nursing Home.  He had been seriously ill for the last 15 months.  Mr. Balay was a former resident of Putnam and Owen Counties.  He was employed at the old Greencastle Cabinet Factory for several years and while here he formed several close friendships.  He is survived by one son, Arthur L. Balay of Indianapolis; two grandsons, CL Balay, Greencastle; John Balary, Indianapolis and a granddaughter, Donna Lynn Balay, Indianapolis.  Last rites will be held from the Flanner-Buchanan Mortuary in Indianapolis at 11 o’clock Saturday morning.  Burial will be in the Boone-Hutcheson cemetery southwest of Greencastle at 1 p.m. – kbz
