Vada Jane Smith Baker, 84 of Greencastle died at her residence Tuesday. Born June 9, 1904 in Harrison County, she was active in Putnam County Senior Citizens Center and participated in their Kitchen Band and was volunteer for Tots Time. She also was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. Her marriage was Oct 8, 1923 to Franklin J. Baker. He died Jan 18, 1982. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Naomi Elliott of Lexington, Ky; Mrs. Sandra O'Hare and Mrs. Sharon Austin both of Bainbridge; two sons, Dale Baker of Lafayette and Jeral Baker of Bainbridge and a sister, WIlma Watson of New Albany.
