After the shower, the tranquil sun; Silver stars when the day is done; After the snow, the emerald leaves, After the harvest, golden sheaves, After the day, the sun in the West, after the shadowy river … rest!  Died, near Bainbridge, Ind on Tuesday March 15, 1892 of brain fever, Eveie Hester, daughter of Charlie and Mary Baker. She was born Feb 19, 1889 being 4 years and 26 days old.  She was suddenly taken ill on Sunday, March 13 and suffered great pain and agony for two days and nights and then passed away, with all her childish loveliness yet upon her.  Good-by Hester, brief has been your stay but you have not lived in vain – the memory of your soft caresses will ever make more tender and gentle those who have known and loved you best and will run like a golden thread through all the after life of your bereaved parents. The remains were laid to rest on Wednesday at Palestine Cemetery.  Too beautiful for earth was she, a flower so pure and sweet; She had gone to join the angels, that we hope one day to meet; she is waiting in that city where the lovely angels wait and when we cross the river We’ll meet her at the gate … NAB
