BAIRD, Richard Cosby - Putnam

Richard Cosby Baird 67 years old died at his home in Clinton Township about 10 o’clock last night following an illness of about a week. Death was caused by brain fever. Mr. Baird was a prominent farmer and was well known throughout the county. Funeral services will be held at the Brick Chapel Church at 2 o’clock Monday afternoon. Burial will be in the cemetery there.  Survivors include the widow, Catherine Baird, one daughter, Mrs. Mace Vermillion of Greencastle, Richard Baird; three brothers, William Baird of California; Thomas Baird of Danville and Samuel Baird of Danville; two sisters, Jennie Baird and Mrs. Lou Giliespie of Indianapolis.  - transcribed by kbz
