ASHBY, William H. - Putnam

William H. ASHBY, 84, life long resident of Montgomery County died Saturday at Ladoga. He was born in Parkersburg March 30, 1845 son of Thompson and Dulcenia Ashby. In 1874 he married Elizabeth Fordice. Survivors are the widow, 3 sons JF Ashby of Indianapolis, Howard Ashby of Roachdale, Chester Ashby at home, a daughter Mrs. Carl Smith of Ladoga, 3 grandchildren, one sister Mrs. James Foster. Mr. Harold Fordice of Russellville is a nephew of Ashby. Burial was in Ladoga Cemetery.
