Henry Arnold, age 99, the oldest resident of Putnam County died unexpectedly at
the home of a daughter, Mrs. John Henry Nichols east of here today. Had he
lived to August he would have been 100 years old. Mrs. Arnold was born in
Kentucky and came to Putnam County when he was 17 years old. He was engaged in
farming until 20 years ago. He is survived by two sons, three daughters,
several grandchildren and two great grandchildren. - kbz
