ALLEN, Nora Stewart - Putnam

Funeral services for Nora Icletta Allen, 62, who died Monday August 16, at Roachdale, were held at Chastain funeral home, Wednesday. Burial was in Linden cemetery.Mrs. Allen was born in Putnam county, July 3, 1881, a daughter of Preston and Margaret Lee Stewart. She married January 1901, to Elbert Vannice, he is deceased, she second married Henry Allen in Montgomery county December 3, 1932, he survives. Other survivors are daughter, Mrs. Erce Daffin, Indianapolis, brothers; Robert Stewart, North Salem, Samuel Stewart, Mooresville, sister; Mrs. Mollie Stevens, Roachdale, five half brothers and sisters, step children; Floyd Allen, Scott Burrell, Edna Suiter, and Mary Ball.   --- thanks so much to Marilyn W. for sending this one :)
