Mrs. Paul Allen, died Sunday night at the family home south of town after a long illness. Funeral services were held at the Portland Mills church Wednesday afternoon. The deceased is survived by her husband and a daughter, Margaret, who is a registered nurse; her father, James K. Harbison; a sister, Mrs. Bessie Webster of Gary and 3 brothers; Bert, Perry and Charles Harbison. NOTE: first name from death records of Putnam Co, Indiana, she was only listed as Mrs. Paul Allen. ---msw

Mrs. Paul ALLEN, aged 58 died Jan 27. She was born Jan 20, 1879 the daughter of J. K. (James) and Margaret Bain Harbison. She is survived by her husband Paul Allen, a daughter, Margaret Allen, a sister Mrs. OA Webster, brothers, Bert, Perry, Charles, a brother Alfred preceded her in death. Burial in Secedar Cemetery.
