ALLEN, James T. - Putnam

James T. Allen, 88, well known merchant and stock trader, died Tuesday afternoon at his home at Bainbridge. He was born February 10, 1849, at Bourbon, Kentucky, son of Archibald and Matilda Trembly Allen. He came to Putnam Co. at the age of six and spent most of his life in and near Bainbridge. He married 1885 to Blanche Riggs. He is survived by the widow and two daughters; Mrs. Hazel Allen Sprowl of Lansing, Michigan and Mrs. Marie Allen of Lincoln, Nebraska.   --- thanks so much to Marilyn W. for sending these great Roachdale Times obituaries for this site :) kbz
