The death of Mrs. Eliza Allen of Bloomington, occurred Friday of heart disease.  She was the daughter of Judge R.N. Allen, who formerly lived just east of this city and sister of Judge R.C. Allen of the circuit court of Indianapolis.

Note: Findagrave has her listed as Eliza Jane Allen born in Greencastle 23 Nov 1834 and passing away (which note does not agree with this article) in Greencastle.  She died the 1st of Jan in 1897 Parents: Robert Newton Allen and Mary Elizabeth.  Husband William John.  At least six known children   --- transcribed by kbz
