Edgar C. ALLEN died at Indianapolis. He was born near Browns Valley on Dec 13, 1873, the son of Charles and Sarah Allen. He was one of 11 children. He died Aug 9, age 53 years 7 months 26 days. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, two brothers, John and Joseph, two sisters, Mrs. Walter Smith and Ella Allen. Survivors are 4 brothers and two sisters, Mattie Allen, Mrs. Alfred Smith of Crawfordsville, Stephen of Shelbyville, Charles and Benjamin of Indianapolis and James of Powell, WY. Burial in Russellville Cemetery.

The body of Edgar G. ALLEN who died in Indianapolis was brought to Russellville Wednesday for burial in the Russellville Cemetery.
