Henry AKERS, 74, died Saturday at Judson. He was the son of Luke and Lavina Martin Akers. Survivors are the widow Ruth, daughter Mrs. Evelyn Wysong of RR 1 Greencastle, brother Marion of Judson, 4 sisters Martha Spencer, Octavia Scott, Minnie Collings of Bellmore and Mrs. Edna Alexander of Judson and 5 grandchildren. Burial at Mt. Moriah Cemetery. - kbz

Henry AKERS, of Judson RR 74, passed away suddenly Nov 5. Although he had been in failing health, his death came as a shock to his family and many friends. He was born and reared in Parke county and was a farmer all of his life, except for 7 years when he owned & operated a store in Bellmore. He was a member of the Parkeville Christian Church and when the church was rebuilt recently, he was one of those most active in the construction of the building. He is survived by the wife, Ruth; one daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Wyson of near Greencastle; one brother, Marion Acres of Judson RR; four sisters, Mrs. Martha Spencer; Mrs. Octavia Scott and Mrs. Minnie Collings, all of Bellmore and Mrs. Edna Alexander of Judson and 5 grand daughters. The body was taken to Branson Funeral Home and from there to the residence where it remained until 9:00 o'clock Tuesday morning when it was taken to the church. Funeral services were held at 10:30 Rev Ray Britton officiating and burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. -  kbz
