Bainbridge -- On last Tuesday the building commonly known as the Big Millcaught fire. A good many of the citizens were attending the burial of Mr. Ader’s little girl and had it not been for the timely warning given by ringing the Church bells the mill would have been destroyed. One man deserves especial notice for his selfish conduct during the excitement. When called upon to ring a bell he refused saying the fire would cause him no loss and his wife on seeing persons with buckets running toward the mill exclaimed, “There goes the fire company.” Such persons as these deserve the censure of the community at large.
