Ragle, Thomas - 76th birthday - Putnam

At the home of Thomas Ragle, in Madison township, the good people assembled on October 11, to celebrate his 76th birthday. They began to gather about 10 o’clock and by no-on there were sixty-six present with well filled baskets and a long table was set in the yard, loaded down with everything that was good. After dinner the time was spent socially. He received several presents and many good wishes and hopes that he might live to see several such happy days. He is an old settler and has many friends. When the good people of Madison undertake to do anything they don’t half do it. -  kbz
