Norman, Clarissa - shot by nephew
Source: Greencastle Banner 12 Jan 1882 p 5
One day last week in Russell Township, a young man named Wilson went to the house of his grandfather, Thomas Norman while out hunting and set his gun beside a door. Shortly after a dog ran against the gun, knocking it down and discharging it. The contents of the gun lodged in the legs of Miss Clarissa Norman, one of the old gentleman’s daughters, below her knees and at last accounts 15 shot had been taken out. 17 remained to be extracted.
