Nelson, Roscoe - non support - Putnam

Roscoe Lee Nelson, 30 of Waveland, a medically discharged veteran of World War II was apprehended Friday in Russellville by Sheriff Jay Watson of Lafayette and Sheriff Paul Grimes of Greencastle on a Lafayette city court warrant of failing to support a minor child.  Nelson being held in the county jail, pending arraignment in city court was alleged to have married Mrs. Nelson in Mississippi while on a furlough and when he was discharged from the army he failed to return to his wife and child.
